Giles Alexander (Aust)

Since immigrating to Australia Giles Alexander has gained
considerable attention and commercial success here in
Australia and overseas. Giles has been short-listed for both major
Australian portrait prizes – the Archibald and the Moran as well
as appearing in several international art fairs, including Melbourne
Art Fair, the London Art Fair, and ArtHK in Hong Kong. He was also
listed as one of the 50 most collectable artists in Australia in
2011.
His passion for old masters, and the aspirations of old-world
traditions are visible in each of his highly resolved, resin surfaced
paintings. Giles' commitment to the craft of painting is a
wonderful counterpoint to a society that wants everything now.
An artist not to be missed!
